How can I keep epoxy resin from becoming warm and curing too quickly?

The ‘working time’ of epoxy resin may be extended (to some degree) by controlling temperate conditions. For instance, by working in a cooler room or weather; and by keeping the material cool as well. Conversely, working in a warm environment or heating up the polymer will result in quicker curing times. Another way to prolong the working life of the material is to mix the resin and hardener in a wide shallow container. The surface area will help dissipate heat.
