If you’ve spent any time scrolling through resin art on Instagram, chances are you’ve stumbled upon the stunning work of Jenna Lynn, the creative force behind Art by Jenna Lynn. Based in sunny Stuart, Florida, Jenna has made waves in the art world with her ethereal ocean scenes, mesmerizing space-inspired designs, and her deeply personal memorial pieces. What began as a Father’s Day project in 2020 has blossomed into a full-time career — and one with heart.
From Queso Containers to Full Time Artist
Jenna’s resin journey began in June 2020, armed with nothing but a beginner’s epoxy kit, sand, shells, and a little ingenuity. Her very first project? Beach-inspired coasters for her dad. “All I had were old plastic queso containers to use as molds,” she laughs. “I mixed sand into the epoxy, pressed shells into it, and topped it with a clear coat. To this day, I have no idea how they turned out perfectly on my first try, but my dad loved them.”
That project lit a creative spark, and Jenna quickly realized the potential of epoxy resin. She spent the next year experimenting and honing her skills, balancing her artistic passion with her studies at the University of Central Florida. By the time she graduated in August 2021, her art business had taken off, thanks to her knack for connecting with fans on social media. Turning her creativity into a career became a natural next step.
"A few years into starting my business, a woman reached out to me asking me to include the cremated remains of her mother into an ocean scene." While Jenna’s portfolio spans tables, trays, coasters, jewelry dishes, and coat racks, her work took an unexpected and meaningful turn when a client reached out with a unique request. “A woman asked if I could incorporate her mother’s cremated remains into an ocean scene,” Jenna recalls. “I was nervous but confident enough to give it a try.”
Jenna’s artistic inspiration often comes from two very different realms: the ocean and outer space. Whether she’s recreating the tranquility of crashing waves or the dazzling mystery of a starlit galaxy, her work captures the beauty and vastness of these natural wonders. The fluidity of resin makes it the perfect medium to bring her visions to life. “Epoxy resin is so versatile,” Jenna explains. “I love knowing that I can use it to create almost anything I can imagine.”
With a thriving business and an ever-growing fan base, Jenna shows no signs of slowing down. Whether she’s crafting a memorial piece that brings peace to a grieving family or experimenting with a new idea (perhaps inspired by a queso container again?), her passion for resin art continues to shine.
“This journey has been so unexpected, but I’m so grateful,” Jenna reflects. “I love pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with resin and connecting with people in such a meaningful way.”
