Crafter Samantha of Saucy Duo Crafts tells of her discovery of epoxy resin while selling her wares at a craft show, “When I was a child… well, an old child… my mother, sisters and I made these salt dough figurines and sold them at craft shows.Once, shortly after that time, we visited a craft show and happened upon some figurines coated in the most wonderfully plastic-y resilient epoxy resin.The resin was crystal clear and very thick, causing the figurines to catch the light like large, salt dough diamonds.We were amazed because we had never had such a result with our figurines, which we dipped 3 or 4 times in polyurethane.I thought, “If I ever do salt dough figurines again, I will certainly consider epoxy resin as a coating.”
